Fourth of July parade - Canon XSi/450D created by Sidney Sytsma:
"This is the
EXACT application for which I bought the Sunex... 180x360 in three shots to
minimize ghosting when there's lots of movement in the shot. I can do a
3-shots-around panorama in about 5 seconds. Very slick!
The Sunex is on a 4 foot tripod with a 4 foot pole extension (1" plastic
pipe that fits over the center column of the tripod and rotates around it)
using a Canon 450D with wireless remote; stitched with PTGui+Smartblend on a
Mac into a 16-bit TIF file; moved into Cubic Converter to extract the cube
faces to clean up the zenith and nadir with PSE6, then reassembled into a
QTVR at 30%. In this case, Smartblend handled the most of the minimal
ghosting that was present. "
A 3-shot example - Nikon D200 created by John Law and John Houghton
A 4-shot example with camera on a hand-held pole created by Andrew Baddeley
Panorama album by John Willets (most panoramas were taken with Sunex lens)
Other 360 Panoramas (with other lenses)
The following examples were created from only two images. This is made possible because each Superfisheye™ image captures a hyper-hemisphere with 185° angle of view. The extra 5° provides the overlap required for proper stitching. All panoramas were stitched from 2 JPG images.
For high quality virtual tours, we recommend using a Sunex Panoramic Rotator with the Superfisheye™ lens. The rotator makes the process of capturing precisely aligned images quick and simple. The stitching process is automatic and more reliable with 3 shots using stitching programs such as PTgui.
