Sunex Inc. released a
low-cost hybrid plastic/glass lens optimized for VGA CMOS and CCD imagers with
a ¼” format. This lens is especially suited for building embedded
digital cameras and has a total optical path length of 6 mm. The DSL712F
comes standard with an IR-cutoff coating. The F/2.7 design provides a
long depth of focus, and is optimized for fixed focus applications.
These lenses are available off-the-shelf and can be customized to meet your
