Lenses for Automotive Applications

Sunex, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of a new product line.  Sunex Automotive Lenses are designed to meet the special needs of automotive applications.  Designed for CMOS and CCD sensors up to 1/3” format up to 1/3” format and mega pixel resolution, the DSL2xx and DSL8xx series lenses provide wide-angle field of view and a high quality image over a wide temperature range.  Typical applications include: rear view assist, lane departure warning, occupant sensing, obstacle and blind spot detection as well as adaptive cruise control.  Currently, lenses with a diagonal field of view from 54° to 185° are available.   If used in external applications Sunex can seal the first element sealed against the ingress of water and dust.  Special BBAR and IR cut off coatings can also be integrated.  Please call with your custom requirement.

With their all aluminum and glass construction the Sunex Automotive lenses provide good image stability over a wide range of temperatures.  For applications using near-infrared illumination these lenses can be provided with antireflection [AR] coatings.  For color imaging an IR cut-off filter can be integrated.
