Lenses for Security Cameras

Sunex is pleased to announce the launch of a new product line.  Sunex Security Lenses are designed to meet the special needs of security and surveillance applications.  The DSL2xx series lenses provide a wide-angle field of view from 74° to 185° and a high quality image at a fraction of the cost and size of lenses currently on the market.  Sunex Security lenses are designed for CMOS and CCD sensors up to 1/2” format and mega pixel resolution, such as the Micron MT9D001. 

For discrete security applications the compact size of the DSL2xx lenses make for unobtrusive cameras.  Because of their innovative design advantages, Sunex Security lenses offer superior performance at lower cost than C-mount lenses currently on the market.  The wide-angle field of view and high resolution means fewer camera systems are required for further cost savings. 

The DSL201 is F/1.8, the wide-angle DSL209 and DSL210 are both F/2.0.  Even the miniature 185° FOV, fisheye lens, DSL215 is F/2.0 for improved low-light performance.  To further improve their low-light performance, the DSL209 and DSL210 also incorporate high-efficiency, Broad Band Anti Reflection [BBAR] coatings.  For applications using near-infrared illumination these lenses can be provided with antireflection [AR] coatings.  For color imaging an IR cut-off filter can be integrated.
